TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICE LEVEL ONE AND TWO

ONLINE WORKSHOP

Almost two thirds of people have had one or more Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE), which means they have a higher chance of developing mental and physical health issues, as well as social problems.

There are specific strategies that can help people mitigate the impact of ACE(s).

Learn how ACE(s) impact the people you help (Level One) and specific trauma-informed strategies you can use with them (Level Two).

If you can’t attend live, you can access the recorded replay, materials and optional quiz with certificate for up to 30 days afterwards.

Trauma-Informed Practice Level One ONLY

Schedule: 

April 15, 2019 from 10:00 to 1:00 EST (New York/Toronto) for a total of three hours.

Content:

Level one will provide you with the foundations for a trauma-informed practice, including:

The importance of Trauma-Informed Educational Practices

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and the impact on human development

The prevalence, the effects and recovery of adverse childhood experiences and toxic stress

The long-term impact of ACEs on social and health 

The difference between trauma-informed services and trauma-specific services

Training is delivered in-real-time online and will be recorded for replay for those who are unable to attend live. 

Continuing Education:

There will be an optional quiz where upon successful completion you will be given a certificate of attendance for three hours of continuing education.

Replays:

Access to the replay will be sent via email within 24 hours of the training.  You can download the slides and handouts.  You will have access to the video replay for 30 days.

 

Registration:

Registration is $97 for level one, including slides and handouts with access to the replay for 30 days.

Trauma-Informed Practice Level One AND Two

Schedule:

April 15, 2019 from 10:00 to 1:00 and 2:00 to 5:00 EST (New York/Toronto) for a total of six hours.

Content:

Level two will build on level one with practical trauma-informed strategies for anxiety and depression, including: 

A model for providing trauma-informed care

Trauma-informed strategies for anxiety 

Trauma-informed strategies for depression

A review of additional resources on trauma-informed practice

Training is delivered in-real-time online and will be recorded for replay for those who are unable to attend live.

Registration includes a digital copy of the book 20 Quick Strategies to Help Patients and Clients Manage Stress with downloadable handouts that you will be able to use with your clients.

Continuing Education:

There will be an optional quiz where upon successful completion you will be given a certificate of attendance for six hours of continuing education.

Replays:

Access to the replay will be sent via email within 24 hours of the training.  You can download the slides and handouts.  You will have access to the video replay for 30 days.
