Continuing Education: There will be an optional post workshop quiz (after the last session) where upon successful completion you will be given a certificate of attendance for 6 hours.
Replay and Materials: Each session is recorded and the replay is uploaded into your online course the following day. You can download the slides and handouts. The videos are not downloadable. You will have access to the video replay, materials and quiz for 60 days after the last session.
Instructor: This workshop is taught by Charlene Richard, B.S.W, M.S.W., RSW who is a social worker in clinical practice and an instructor with the University of Calgary, Faculty of Social Work. Charlene has delivered trauma-informed training internationally and is the founder of Caring Safely®.

In order to access the content you will need to log into a program with a username and password that you will create when you register. If you have logged in and watched my free video training, then you have everything you need to access the course material.
In order to join the live, online, session, you will need a computer with good internet connection and speakers.
There are video files that you can watch/listen to. There are worksheets in Adobe Format that you can download. Adobe has a free program you can download to open the documents and there is a link to it inside the course platform.
You should have a basic understanding of logging into programs with a user name and password for this program.
Technically, these can be done on a desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone. Keep in mind there are worksheets to print and this is not always available from tablet/phones.
You can download the slides and workbook to keep indefinitely, however, the video trainings are formatted and not downloadable. You have access to them through the library for the duration of your program.
You can access the replay, slides, handouts and optional quiz for 60 days after the last workshop in the series.
After you register you will receive an email confirmation for your registration. This email includes information for accessing the Caring Safely® Online Library where you will have immediate access to your bonus training for interim support.
When you register you will have immediate access to the bonus training. You will also have access to this training until 60 days after your last class in the workshop series.
You may complete a post training quiz and upon successful completion you will receive a certificate for 7.5 hours of continuing education.
It is up to you to see if your regulatory college will accept this training.

In order for someone to receive a certificate of completion for this training through Caring Safely, they must complete a post training test, a program evaluation and a final quiz that contains no more than 10% true and false questions with a passing grade of 80% or higher. The trainer that has a Master of Social Work degree and is provided by an organization that has a privacy officer. The trainer’s credentials include a bachelor of social work, a masters of social work, a clinical registration to provide psychosocial restricted activities and over 10 years of direct clinical practice. The trainer is registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) (Registration #11958) and the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). Caring Safely training has previous been accepted by both the Alberta College of Social Workers and the National Association of Social Workers.
